I'm sure this happened to someone else on here - did it turn out to be balanitis or something?

poor ds3

Don't bother waiting for the doctor - get him to A&E.

OMG Coddy, I would go to the emergency room too (A&E as you call it). Can you make him comfortable with a cool or warm cotton while you wait?

Yes balanitis. Painful.. needs antibiotics.. but not usually an emergency. Repeated bouts usually mean a circumciusion. DS1 (now 13) had it done at 3.

Sounds nasty -do you have a drop-in centre or a a and e close by ?

Report
foxinsocks · 16/11/2005 18:14

Poor little chap.

(His foreskin shouldn't retract yet anyway AFAIK so don't worry about that)

Ok then, at least you have got the medicine. I don't believe the foreskin should retract yet either--the doctor will know best on this. This is why the foreskin is cut to avoid these sorts of things. I hope he is feeling better soon Coddy. What a scare.

Of course I had to do a search on google immediately after you said that. At work no less.
