Anyone tried Bach's Rescue Remedy?

Does it work or is it a rip off?

Am tempted, but just don't see how a couple of squirts of something on your tongue can calm you when things are going nuts?

It does work esp in stressful situations where you need something quick. There is no harm in trying it What do you want to use it for?

It def does help. Have used if for pmt and while pg. You can also use it to calm a stressed baby when teething etc. You have to put it on pulse points rather than tongue tho.

I used it throughout my second labour and, whether it was placebo or not, I stayed calm and in control all the way through

Didn't work for me, but my sister swears by it.

Tastes like brandy. I'd rather have a brandy. It doesn't do much for me but my MIL lives on it.

It didn't do anything for me.

I used it for my driving test, for me it was very effective at calming my nerves. Whether or not it was purely psychological, I couldn't tell you.

Wouldn't use it for labour though ! Like taking an asprin for a decapitation !

I used it when I was giving up smoking ( 2 yrs before my becoming pregnant) It really helped. In this case I beleive it helped having something else to turn to instead of a cigarette. Have used it ever since for me (also in labour) and my Ds. Didn't know about putting it on the pulse points though woops I've always put it on his tongue hope I haven't been doing a wrong thing!

I've used it once, when very nervous before presentation - did the job, but also not sure whether psychological or not.

As for use during pregnancy, got to be better than evian water spray that friend recommended for my hospital bag. And I believed her. Only possible positive effect would have been if I'd thrown it at annoying doctor....

here is the official rescue remedy website:

\link{http://www.bachfloweressences.co.uk/dynamic/en/index.php?section=products&id=2}

i own a health shop and we sell loads of it...get very mixed results, about half love it and about half find it useless.

you might as well try it, it the only way to find out if it is going to work for YOU.

it seems to work best for panic attacks/nerves
eg, going to dentist/frying/exams/wedding nerves/driving test.

if you need something for ongoing stress, or are always worried about things, there are (in my opion) better remedies.

ssd, I've got a bottle you can have if you want to try it. The bottle is opened but only has a couple of doses missing from it. It was only opened recently and has a use-by of 2009 so should still be OK.
