... I know some of the 'fat bloaters' may have started already, so we will allow you a head start!

But just wanted to know if any/how many of us are going to DO something about this situation we are all moaning about.. however much/little weight we want to shift.. so we can all be slimmer by Christmas!

But most of all.. my own selfish reason.. I want help.. I want all your forthright ladies her on MN to help ME do this.. because my willpower is non-existent now, my fat bloater of a DH doesn't care about how fat and bloated HE is and expects me not to care about my weight either... and I can't afford to go to a proper slimming club.. so don't think I can do it without you.

Can we all be here to nag/congratulate each other.. and actually DO this? (please) And have a weekly weigh-in? I know there are/have been other threads of this type.. but I thought this one could be specifically for us from Cod's fat bloater thread of yesterday, who want to start doing something about it NOW.. (or tomorrow.. as someone said, Mondays are good for this). And of course any other Bloaters of Varying Degrees of Fatness are very welcome too!

Who's in? Please don't let this thread sink into oblivion.. I NEED you all.. you are my means to being less fed up, miserable, fat and bloated!!! We can do this for and with each other!

Great Avalon..

There are two threads saying this now.. as my full title addressing 'Fat Bloaters' in general.. refuses to appear!! Most odd...

I'm in - I'm currently eating some mango with my coffee - instead of my usual slice of homemade bread covered with flora and jam

Hi. I'd like to join please! I'm on a thread in the big/slim/whatever weight loss section but there's only me and Sweetbean left! Everyone else has gone off. I really need constant support too so this would be great. I need to lose 2 stone.
This morning (being Monday and all that) I have already done 15mins on a stepper, 50 sit ups and am cooking a big pot of veg soup for lunches for the next few days.
So are we going to have a weigh in day etc?

Avalon · 07/11/2005 10:42

Morning everyone.

I've done some stomach exercises and I'm going to do about 30 minutes in the garden today.

As for food - I think the soup idea sounds good.

Hi all.. thank you for finding this thread despite the obscure thread title (as the one I wanted wouldn't appear!).. I suppose we need a new one really.. Shame we can't just edit the title..

What day shall we have our weekly weigh-in?

QueenV.. if you lose a pound a week, that is 4 stone in a year!

I am confused.. I haven't eaten anything 'off the rails' today.. but I am undecided whether to do standard Weightwatchers, Switch Weight waters or even go back to my old Slimming World plan..

I fancied Switch because you don't eat (much) bread and the lady on the other thread.. was it Doormat?.. said she lost a stone in 2 weeks by not eating bread !! But I eat some toast this morning almsot without thinking.. .. so guess I'm on standard WW..

What are the rest of you doing? 'Just cutting down' doesn't work for me.. I don't have the will power.

Hi SJ.

I'm cutting down at the moment and I've been good so far today.
I've just realised I don't know any diets except really bad ones .
Can you download the WW one, do you know?

How's Friday for a weigh-in day?

Report
SleepyJess · 07/11/2005 14:11

Avalon, you can become an online member of WW.. it's here .

Yes Friday would be a great day to weigh as this is the day I got to my slimming club ('fake' WW) at DS's school.

Does Friday suit everyone else? Got a few days to get into it now haven't we..

I'm going to try to stick to Slimming World. I'm not a member but know (roughly) the diet. Its just that I don't want to control my portions as am bfing and love pasta, potatoes and rice.

Friday is a good day for weigh in.

Must buy some scales for a weekly weigh in !! Mind you, that can be my excuse when I don't tell you all....

Am just going to try and cut down and go to gym - although wimped out today as got a better offer... hmmm not a good start AT ALL but not going to have a glass of wine tonight and had a slimasoup for lunch (but home made veg soup sounds much better idea !).

Thanks SJ - doesnt sound so impossible put that way.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between slimming world, switch watch adn weight watchers?

Sai · 08/11/2005 16:20

Having a good day today so far and walked 3 miles and did 50 sit ups.
How is everyone else doing?

QV - don't know about switch watch but have a look here to get an idea of different diets.

I bought scales today so I can join in at the weigh in - gulp ! They were really cheap from woolies and already don't seem to work properly (and am not just saying that cos they say I weigh a ton !!).

Woke up yesterday with a really sore knee - no idea why - so cancelled gym. More painful today but instead of cancelling gym I went swimming today (would have had to pay for creche anyway) so am feeling v. virtuous.

(I'm not joining but coz I've just gone from a size 18 to a size 12, wishing you all luck with this. I used WW, and the no count diet, but I think it's the support that matters which is exactly what you're doing. Well done!)

Hello everyone.

Felt a bit rough yesterday so I didn't do any exercise. On the plus side, I didn't feel like eating much either!

Well, today's the day I've got to go and buy some scales. Haven't had any for years and I was thinking about getting some with a body fat analyser - but now I've seen the prices, I'll have to think again.

I'd be happy to join in - hope I can provide some inspiration to others as I have lost over 6 stones (started end Aug 2004).

Still losing weight - want to lose another 2 stone.

I'm weighing myself on a Monday at the mo as I'm on the GI Diet thread and that's what we agreed.

Cod's thread is still going isn't it?

May I join you ladies please?

Am a confirmed WW, lost 12lbs, gained 6lbs and now trying to lose a stone before Christmas.

Well done to the ladies on their fantastic weight loss. Can you let us into your secrets? (or is it just eat less and exercise more???)
