Strange spots/bites - any ideas?

DD1 has little spots behind both knees - look like miniature mosquito bites and are very itchy, driving her mad at night. Started off with just a few last week and now there are at least 20 on each leg. Are they bites and if so what on earth could they be? WE don't have any pets and she hasn't been playing anywhere where there are animals. I'm guessing it's probably a rash rather than bites - could it be an allergy to her new schoold tights? Keeping them off today to see if that helps. Would be very grateful for any other ideas!

my GP told me that bites have a little dot in the middle. a flea or mosquito bite for example would have a little bite in the middle of the redness and it would bleed if you scratch off the tiny scab on it. sorry if tmi, i can't explain it well.

eczema - sounds like it. try some aqueous cream and if it doesn't go, and you agree with it, you could try some 1% hydrocortisone.
if it is eczema, her tights will be making her knees hot, which will make the problem worse, so taking them off is a good idea.
