4 teeth at once...bad luck or common?

All four top teeth bulging and breaking through at the same time. 7pm-7am sleeper has gone to waking every 2 hours happily contented baby in the day playing by herself has gone to clingy baby who can't be put down ....she never suffered with her bottom two....is it normal to get so many at once? Anbesol and calpol are my best friends at the moment...

Ouch poor little babe!! Ds got 2 back ones together and was waking up 2 hourly. King Calpol did the trick

DD2 got 4 the first four at the same time and I am sorry to say has continued to sprout her teeth in groups of 4! On a positive note she now has 16 teeth at 16 months only last four to go so should all be over and done with quite quickly. Unlike DD1 who was 2.5 before she got all her teeth.

So short-lived all out hell as opposed to longer term low-key whinging.

MY dts both had 4 teeth each come through at the same time, and they were all molars........absolute murder

This happenned with my ds1 - top 4 incisors all together, then later canines came together and then molars. IIRC it happenned to some of my friends children too. I found nurofen helped more than calpol for teething pain.

My dd grew all her teeth in batches of 4, although she didn't suffer very badly with them. I was quite pleased they came through that way because at least the discomfort for her was concentrated over a much shorter period of time than if they had all come through separately.

DS cut front teeth textbook style (in pairs at average age) but recently , at 15 months has had 7 come through at the same time (from the canines back)!!
Just used teething granules/calpol (not needed often though) and looked on the bright side which is that it will be over with quicker and not as lonh and drawn out (I hope!)
