In case the title doesn't give a clue, this is going to be gross ...
I have some sort of gut problem. Last night, I had lots of entirely liquid diarrhoea. I felt fine, although almost no appetite. I gave up and took imodium. Slept ok.
This morning, I still feel nauseated, woozy and warm and have had some "loose stools" - not as scary as last night.
My questions:
- do I fast? If so, can I have apple juice? Or really nothing other than water?
- how much does resting matter? Can I still do the school run?
- do I keep taking imodium? I generally only take it if diarrhoea is the only symptom, as I have IBS and my gut is rubbish.
My whinge:
DH had planned an early birthday surprise outing this afternoon, with lunch out (probably at my favourite restaurant, where I haven't been for years!), childcare sorted, the whole thing. Only there's no point with me in this state. Even if I don't fast, I do not really want to eat. I know he will reschedule, but then it won't be a surprise.
