Health question for DP

Hi can anyone relateto this or possibly tell me what it could be?

DP had a hernia as a kid and had it operated on, its been fine for ages with only an ocasional sharp pain at the scar he had it done years ago. But he has always had one testicle higher than the other there the same size just ones alot higher, anyway over the last month he has been getting a pain in his side and his high testicle has been going right up into his stomach area and he has had to push it back down it has happened several times, it hurts when it happens but only then. Hes going to the g.p on monday but has anyone had a similar experience?
