ooooooooooohhhhhhh dear!!!!! How to begin??????

Well ....... I've had a bit of a vaginal thrush problem and some kind MNers suggested a remedy involving a garlic clove and teatree oil. Well, the good news is that it has worked fantastically well on clearing up the thrush symptoms, but on the other hand I didn't expect the garlic clove to disappear beyond reach!!!!!

When should I declare this a medical emergency and present myself at A&E?????

To make matters worse my last visit to A&E was only a month or two back when I'd used a vibrator for the first time and managed to do myself some painful damage!!!!! My medical record is beginning to look like a comedy sketch.

If you relax, and push down a bit (say, on the loo), it should come out. Alternatively, you can have a dig for it, but I wouldn't use any objects - just your fingers, or someone else's (ideally with longer fingers).

perhaps it dropped out while you were on the loo and didn't notice?

imagine going to casualty with this and then they can't find anything!?

ah jellyhead - that's what I was kinda hoping! I've already tried fingers - but haven't confessed to dh yet and his fingers might be longer; don't fancy using 'objects' eg cotton buds,; it might already have gone down the loo without me realising; how soon is infection likely to set in?
ps as its bank holiday I'm going to have a 3 - 4 hour wait in A&E and I REALLY REALLY don't want to have to admit what I've done!

bear down squatting and use fingers- you can get it that way I promise (the holder of a very posterior cervix- had lots of comments on it- and was trained in the bloody cap (awful thing do they still exist?)

I wouldn't class it as worth a trip to A&E, but I do think that a visit to your own GP or practice nurse sometime in the next few days would be a good idea, just to put your mind at rest. They will have seen far worse than this so don't let your embarrassment put you off going to see them. It's quite likely that the garlic has come out while you've been on the loo and you haven't noticed it but I think it's still worth getting it checked out, just in case.

Can I just ask:

How on earth did you end up at A&E with VIBRATOR INJURIES?

aaaahhh weelll mp that's a good question! The thing is I've been married for 24 years and always had a pretty lousy sex life with dh. We've got 2 teenage children. Lately I've been seriously questioning whether I really want to continue in this marriage (another 25 years+??) - there have been loads of other difficulties as well as sex. Anyway dh bought this vibrator about 5 years ago but I've never fancied using it - for lots of reasons eg I might love it and never want dh near me again!; if dh tries using it on me he won't 'do it quite right' and I'll finish up more frustrated than ever; sheer embarrassment getting it out and working. So, I took the opportunity to investigate it whilst dh was away for a few days. But quite frankly no matter what I did with it, it just didn't 'do it for me' - but I kept persevering for quite a while - until I began to feel a bit sore. The next day I still felt a bit uncomfortable and the soreness gradually got worse and worse until about 4 days later I was in complete agony and went to A&E. Turned out I had some minor grazing that then got infected!!! Of course I know now that I should have used loads of lubricant - bit late now - and can't imagine ever going near it again. But dh have had a good laugh out of my experience with the vibrator - as have most of MN!!

And NOW look at the trouble I'm in - thanks to MN. Dh is away again - and I'm dreading telling him what I've done this time!!!

I think it's funny too! MN has opened up a whole new world to me! I've had soooo many worries for sooooooo long - but now I can 'talk' about them. And get fantastic advice too!!!! I've even come off the antidepressants I've been on for 12 or more years!
