penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

Has anyone got an account yet? I'm waiting for my invitation from DH to be activated, but it looks like it could be great.

See here: 2 minute video

And here - a 5 minute video with 15 features of Google Wave

Sorry, I sound like a real geek (which is probably what I am) grin

TBH the hardest part was remembering where I'd left the big stapler.

Have a biscuit on me.
gah! missed a angry off!
definitely avoid all links/sneak previews until you get an invite yourself! otherwise you'll be envy till yours arrives!

i stick to my original theory re names and knickers wink

well done on the chair, was it difficult? i've got a beautiful old chair that has been banished upstairs by my dp until i recover it.hmm bloody cat used it as a scratching post on one of the arms sad

lol...i'll bet upholstery hasn't been discussed in geeky stuff before grinshock

right, i've overdone the smilies so i'm now aiming for a full house. i should probably be blush about over-using them but all i have to say about that is biscuit

is that it? did i get them all yet? smile

Oh and yes - saw photos. I need to remember to photo stuff myself. Refinished a chair as a present to a friend last month, completely forgot to get a picture (gah).

Hi miamla - I like to think of it as dressing to suit my mood wink

Have just been sent a link to this online Wave guide - haven't looked at it yet, as I'm not sure if it'll just make me feel even more left out, but might be useful/interesting? biscuit

Oohh, that looks very interesting and like it could make my life a lot easier. If anyone is willing to invite me the address is babedia at gmail dot com. Thanks!
hi crackers! you change names as often as you change your knickers!
if i get any invites, i'm happy to send you one through.. and on a tangent... did you see i've put photos up? sorry for appalling photography skills, i really didn't do them justice

ineedacleaner... they invited specific people to test it eg developers etc and those developers invited their friends and then those friends invited their friends etc. Google really want to control the growth of it so that's why its all so restricted but at the same time, if your friends aren't on it then who would the developers test it with

I've applied for an invite for the next rollout - offered to bug report and everything. No idea how long it'll take though...

<Waves at Miamla> 'tis Crackwhore btw
SO how do the people that invite you get an invitation?
oh i'm already loving it even without the contacts!

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]
For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
