Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

how do I copy pics/do links to my email??

(20 Posts)
My DS is pictured on a website news page, how can I copy it before it disappears?
actually I take being called a geek as a compliment grin

glad you got the pic in the end. Enjoy - and be proud of your little lad smile
No problem, always a pleasure to help smile. I'll take the pictures down from my site now for the sake of your privacy and the owner's copyright.

so sorry I was such an arse last night

Thank you MrV and Giggle for your help

I got the pic and have sent it to everyone I know

My Ds is over the moon

I'm really really sorry for being rude and you are not geeks at all but salt of the earth fab people

Thank you
hornswoggle I am sorry that you found the banter between myself and gigglewitch offensive, and that you have not been able to get the picture following my unclear instructions.

If you click on this link the picture should be loaded in another window or tab in your browser. Right-click on the picture, and choose 'Save Picture As', then save it somewhere you can find it (it will probably default to 'My Pictures').

Note that that picture appears a bit 'pixellated' because that is how it was stored on the original site. If you don't have image editing software you can use, you might like to do the right-click and save thing with the picture that is displayed on this page instead.
aww HS, he is such a cutie.
obv no idea he's got sen either. see from the last post that it makes it even more important.
Mr V has linked to it, did you get the pic last night?

I did'nt ever think my SN son would be in this position-ie very happy

I havent got the pic I wanted, but mn is odd lately

I'll treasure the moment anyway

and you will all still be rude geeks
nice one mr V.
Insults aside, I am very glad you managed it.
May we all get some sleep now grin
Hmm, something strange on my site. You should be able to get it here by right-clicking the image, but I seem to have something wrong with my MIME types (oops, ultra-geeky moment, sorry).

So in the meantime, use this link instead - I will remove that when I have the first one working though.
oooh MrV is back.
Nice one.
(smug geek) grin
got the pic, but see what you mean blardy adobe flash player isn't wanting to let us in. Gits. Have you done 'save page as...' for now - you have to click over at the far left or right so that you are only clicking on the background, before it will let you do it.
Have tried being mega-geek and went into the menu's got all the logos and images and everything, but it just gave me little blank grey boxes for the pics. Will bookmark it for morning and get mrWitch on it wink as he is the Ultimate Geek round these parts.
Catch you tomorrow unless i figure somethin out in the next 10 mins or so grin

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]
For a sceptical face, , type [hmm]
For a no comment face, , type [biscuit]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
