try and see if there are any soft ware updates that you have missed recently - there might be a conflict somewhere?

Am not a mac expert by any means. I found it difficult to use any microsoft product on the mac until DH installed some sort of PC environment on our MacBook Pro to use when using excel and word. Performance of both applications has been much better since.

As I said, I am no expert.
