Why is my screen scrolling like a mexican wave?

using either the scroll bar or the mouse wheel? It's making me feel sick! What on earth has happened - no buttons have been pressed. It was behaving normally before supper, left it on, went to eat, came back, scrolled - mexican wave! Waaaaaaagh! Maybe it's hungry?

It doesn't like Cliff. Or football, luckily for me. Cricket, hmmmm, not sure. I haven't noticed any stumps though.

Is it just scrolling, but dead slow updating the screen? restart the PC and if still doing it press ctrl-alt-del and look at what's running in the background

Well Jux, did you fix it?

It didn't stop and there was nothing untoward on the Task Manager. I tried a restart and it still did it. I was getting quite vertiginous and anyway wanted to watch the Bonekickers thing which turned out to be twaddle. But since booting up this morning it's been fine. It may just have been running slow for some reason, but I'll probably run a virus scan just in case.
