Cut & paste from Adobe PDF files - how?

I know I used to be able to do this : select a small area of text or a picture in a PDF and then cut and paste into e.g. a Word document.

Is this no longer possible, or are people security protecting files more these days and making them read only?

Any ideas?

Umm I think you need to COPY and paste on the new acrobat docs - is it text or pictures?

In any case you can always take a screen grab and then cut the bit you need out using photoshop or something like that.

Can you not do that any more?

You can.

Hang on to I see if I can remember.

I think there's something up at the top left hand side that means you can select a highlighting tool.

Yes, you click select & that will change the hand into a flashy thing that means you can grab the text & C&P it
