Oh god i had this twice this week

Not sure what wireless system you have but ... do you have a large black plug with 3 green lights?

If so all 3 should light. If not all alight then unplug, twiddle/reinsert ethernet cable and try again. And again.

Been driving me mad

Have done the switching off, unplugging and twiddling. Repeatedly.
Works if I plug into laptop A. Does not work with Laptop B.
Is not wireless. Have to plug cable from small black box with green lights into laptop.

its to do with the Network setting which is set up from the Control Panel. They need to be exactly the same to work. For example, my laptop at home obtains an IP Address automatically whereas work one doesn't. So for work one to work, the network settings need to be the same as the home one.

Sooo, if laptop A is with DH in Bristol today...and laptop B is with me 2 hours down the M5...can I call DH and get him to tell me the IP?

That might even work, but it shouldn't be necessary. If you have this laptop set up to "obtain an IP Address automatically" it should work.

Will try that.
If it works, I will be MNing tonight
If it doesn't...I won't be...
