Contagious underlining in emails...

Here's the scenario - Mrs A sends an email to everyone in a group (it's a PTA), and her message is underlined. She doesn't know why - she didn't underline it when she sent it. Everyone in the group emails each other throughout the day and all emails that are sent attached to the original arrive with all the words underlined, ie., we all seem to have caught an underlining bug from the original email.

Any ideas? I probably haven't explained it very well.

Why it's carrying on 'I think' is because most email clients are set to 'reply to messages in the same format they were sent'
In outlook express tools menu - Options.
on the Send tab there is a box to un/tick.

Why it's happening in the first place I can't say exactly. Does Mrs A use use Outlook for email? Some do and also use Word as the email editor which does much more complex formatting than just using Outlook Express.

Oh, thanks for replying, Greyriverside - I'd decided it was just too boring for anyone to bother. She's fixed it now, anyway - but thanks!
