My ipod isn't working. None of the buttons work.
I can't take the damn thing apart and look at it, so where do I take it?

I washed mine at 40 degrees. It might have been alright, but I also tumble-dried it on hot. It is as dead as a dodo.

I got mine repaired at ukipodrepairs.co.uk

It wasn't cheap, but it was cheaper than buying a new one. And I found the service very good.

Have you tried rebooting it? You hold down the menu button and the middle button for a few seconds, and the apple thing appears. Mine sometimes gets 'stuck' and this fixes it.

Sometimes mine sticks and I let it run down completely and charge it up again. Or, you can reset it to factory settings, i think it may need to be done through itunes or something, have a look on the apple website f.or the manual

Spagblog - it does sound like it has frozen, which isn't a problem. Just switch the 'lock' button at the top to 'on', ( so the orange bit shows), switch this lock 'off' again (so the white bit shows, and THEN press the menu button with the middle 'select' button - as NQC suggests - for atleast 6 seconds. The apple sign will then show on screen.......allegedly.

The Apple site gives detailed instructions about everything you can do. In my case nothing worked - it was a hard disk failure. As it was less than a year old, Apple repaired it for free.
