IS the transfer painless?? Am a bit annoyed at paying £30/month for a service that is pretty creaky.

Are there any drawbacks to Sky B/band?? Am looking at the 'midi' choice that allows music download. £5 per month.

any advice greatfully received, thanks.

I see.

So this is going to be one of those threads where I chuner on to myself with no-one listening or caring.

The BT connection fails way too often - say twice per week - so I'd rather not pay full price for less than full service. If sky b/band performs any better, then yay.

we have sky BB - the Max one as DP needs to be able to transfer videos quickly and inone piece!

The change over from Skys end was flawless, the prolems we had were with AOL refusing to switch us off their internet!

Not noticed any drawbacks yet and had it for a few months now, don't use sky for emails and use the internet via mozilla so don't know if that has any bearing on it at all.

Easy to do, they send a date for activatipn, a cd and a modem, you stick the CD and it does it for you!

If you are having line issues, the chances are this problem will still be there when you transfer over. If you mean BT service is going down then thats different - though I suspect line conditions.
