I hv had an iphone 3gs for two yrs which phone to upgrade to

If yo can afford the latest model why upgrade to an older one ? so the 4s should be out. if you have the cash go for the 5c

Thinking about this myself. If you upgrade to a non-Apple smartphone, what happens to all your stored stuff? Can you transfer it over to a different platform? What about the stuff on iTunes?

anything you purchase via itunes is only playable via an itunes enabled device, so no it wont work if you get a samsung. if you import to itunes music you have externally thats no issue you just have to get it out of itunes which is easy enough.

contacts can be trickier but there are a few third party apps/ sites that will do it for you as well as carriers but it can be fidley and results can vary.

If I sync to iTunes, can I get my info and music back out via my pc, then download from pc to new non-Apple device?

@Ilove.. .. yes ytou can, just navigate to where itunes stores your media and take it from there. Itunes music is AAC format so most likely will not play on non apple devices unless converted though.

If you download samsung keys (if you go with Samsung that is) it will sync your existing info from iTunes including music!!

But - Apple all the way!!!

Dh just went from 3GS to 4S about 2 months ago. Decided against a 5 because all our docks are the old style and it just seemed easier
