Hi

Was wondering if anyone can help. My iPhone 5s came in the post today, I currently have a 4s. I know I need to get a nano sim - can I just walk into orange shop and get one? I want to keep my number and contract I'm on so this is sim free.

Also how do I save my contacts so they are on new phone, can I transfer my pictures over?

Dh is updating his 3GS to my 4s, does he need a new sim? And again how can we transfer his contacts etc?

I am pretty rubbish at this all. Sorry. Please help!

When I updated from 3GS to 4s the Vodafone shop had a device that transferred everything across for me, numbers, photos etc. other than that ensure everything is backed up in iCloud and then sign into your new device with your existing iCloud account, everything should be there!

I think if you go into the shop they will be able to sort out a new sim for you and ensure it has the same number

Yes, you can just go in and sort it out. I've just done similar with O2 and gave DS2 my iPhone 4S - they put his normal sim into a cutting machine and turned it into a micro sim, I wonder if they can do the same to turn a micro into a nano...?

The 3GS is a normal SIM isn't it? The shop should be able to cut it down to a micro to fit the 4S.

Ah that sounds easy, I never seem to have much luck at the orange shop I think because they know they're not really getting anything out of me so not sure they'll be anymore helpful this time! I shall be assertive.

Silly question but how do you back up to iCloud?

Thank you!

Settings
iCloud
Storage & backup
Back up now

Shouldn't take too long depending on when the last time it was backed up Smile
