Need to get myself a new mobile phone and am looking at the TalkTalk deals. My current phone is a HTC Desire Z and would like to stay with an Android phone. Any suggestions as to which of these are any good please?

A bit difficult unless your 'needs' and budget are known.

I'd generally suggest avoiding the Galaxy Ace (because it has limited storage for Apps, and several people have complained about that fact) and without knowing your budget, don't know whether you'd want to pay for the Galaxy S4 Mini.

The Ace has a 5 Mpixel camera, while the Sony Xperia E has only 3.15 Mpixel and the Sony screen has less definition and colours than your current phone.

I'd personally go for the Sony, (a) because it has similar memory and reasonable storage for Apps vs Galaxy Ace, (b) won't cost 25 quid a month for only 100 minutes to non TalkTalk users, 250 texts and limited data {which is what the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini would cost}, and (c) you get 50 GB of online storage if you get the Box.com App {a deal between Sony and the web service} so you can easily upload/ download your own files (but obviously use home wi-fi to do this!)

You might find a reasonable combo of minutes, texts, data and Android mobile on e2save.com or mobiles.co.uk (both web services run by Carphone Warehouse but sometimes with cashback and other deals).

Not sure if they cover TalkTalk but you may find a better phone at a similar price, or more generous allowances in the plan for a similar price.

For me, while I have a limited number of minutes (100) I do get 5000 texts and unlimited data for 13 quid a month from Three (with a Blackberry phone). I can hit 1-2 GB of data a day with radio and video streaming but everyone uses their phone in different ways.

Not sure about any of them. Just don't go for a Samsung Galaxy Y. I did as it was cheap (smartphone virgin) wish I hadn't as it's crap. It's not on that page but I know they are still doing them as Talk Talk keep sending me mailshots about their mobile service. That I am still with. Stupid company.

Thanks for your replies. I had a look at some reviews and my budget and was thinking about the Sony Xperia E. Probably need around 1 GB of data, quite a few texts but not lots of calls. I'll look at those other two sites though NetworkGuy.
