It is available for 69 pounds and I want to buy it for my daughter.
I have been reading reviews about it, has Barnes and noble going to shut this side of business.
If so, will buying nook will be waste of time?

No they are not closing the ebook division down - the 'simple touch' + simple touch glowlight' are just on promotion. The cheaper they sell the hardware, the more they will sell the books.

You can also use a free program called Calibre to change the format of ebooks so you can also buy on amazon and convert the the kindle files to be usable on the nook if the worst did happen!

I got the £29 "simple" one with no backlight and a £1 light from poundland. Works well, and I didn't want to spend £69 until I knew I'd like using one.

Lots of threads on moneysavingexpert and HUKD about this offer.
