why can't I watch videos on Facebook on my Samsung galaxy ace?

When I try to watch videos on Facebook they don't play. Sometimes it says its downloading but always fails. I can watch videos on YouTube and anywhere else on the internet, it only seems to be Facebook that's the problem. Any ideas?

How are you accessing Facebook, via an app or via the web browser?

If via the browser, can you watch other videos via the browser, rather than say via an app like the YouTube app?

I suspect it may be thinking you have a flash capable device but the Galaxy Ace does not support flash.

I have the Galaxy Ace, do not think I have ever tried watching a video on Facebook using my phone, alas videos on my timeline are rare, so cannot test it.
