Help out in a group and are looking into how we manage text messages so that one person isn't overwhelmed dealing with them all.

Googled online and found an app that forwards texts to an email address (which then all committee members would be able to access), perfect but the one mentioned isn't available anymore so wondered if all you techno savy lot might now of another that works simarly.

Also does anyone know of a good online services that offered free bulk SMS?

A Microsoft Exchange server can do this rather inexpensively.

Essentially, you have an account that you can then link to a mobile phone number, the email account will then receive all copies of text messages sent to said number and is able to respond directly to the mobile phone number that the message is received from. It is also a fully featured email account with calendars, contacts, tasks, etc.

There are a great deal of providers in the UK who can offer this service, I personally use a company called fasthosts, because I can use my own personal email and my husband's company email on one account. I'm sure you can find a provider that fits your needs though. :)
