IPad Mini not charging!

skratta · 10/02/2013 12:55

I bought my IPad Mini on 5th January, used it often, charged it often. Th lowest it got before charging was 29% but mostly I charged it before it got below 75%.

It won't charge, I put it in, but it doesn't appear to go fully in, and I'm confused.

We use the plug thing and lightning cable which I got with it.

I've got some pictures of the chargers/cable on my profile, if it's any help, because there seems to. E something wrong with the cable?

I had problems with an iPhone 5 charging and on searching the web for answers before I took it back yo Apple I found a lot of people seemed to have issues with faulty cables....

Book an appt with the Genius Bar and take charging lead etc with you too....

Either way they should be able to sort it / replace what's faulty ....

Thanks.

How much does it cost to replace, or will they replace it free (I guess it's still under a guarantee?)

Thanks!

Cable itself is £15 from Apple.

I find the power adapter is stiff to fit in power socket. Do try unplugging the USB end from the adapter and reinserting it.
When plugging the lightning connector into the iPad, I find it makes a click noise when fully in.

Hope that is of some help.

They should replace either or both for free....

Apple are usually very good about replacing stuff without quibbling...

They are also usually good about cheap replacements for stuff you've damaged accidentally too....

Thanks nannynick and thanks again putthehamsterback

Yes, it does normally make a noise when it goes in, and also it shows if it's charging.

I have placed the plug and charger thing on other sockets just in case too, and tried unplugging the USB from the adapter too.

Thanks again Smile
