How do I put a safety filter onto an iPhone/iPod touch

How do you put controls in place on an iPod touch so inappropriate sites can't be accessed? What is the best way to do this.? Have set up the options in iOS but this leaves safari completely open. Can turn Safari off but then it will have no web access at all?

Can't find good solution/recommendation but there must be hundreds of tweens with these so can't just be us needing this?'

No, Apple are surprisingly bad at this. On Android, because the OS is so open, people have written tons of apps which allow parental control deep into the system covering all apps from games to Internet. But Apple's stubbornness to lock you out means your are stuck with their pathetic excuse for parental control.

Which one would you recommend for Android ?

I keep meaning to do it but have put it off .

My ds has a Samsung galaxy tab 2 if that makes any odds .

There is something under "Restrictions" I although it's not perfect by any means though. Settings-> General -> Restrictions and then there is an "Allowed Content" section where you can set some sort of age restrictions.

You can turn Safari off and replace it with a safe browser but that will restrict normal grownup browsing too. Otherwise you can install safety features on Google and lock that with a password, you can also put safety on Youtube but don't seem to be able to lock that with a password, both are better than nothing.
