iPad or iPad mini

Hi
Want to stick with apple, as I love my podcasts & iTunes. Like touch screen & feel comfortable with my iPhone.
Looking for e-reader mainly, but will use for emails, mumsnet & browsing as my eyesight is crap & phone is too small.
So ipad or iPad mini, just can't decide. Any suggestions very welcome, thanks.

If you are going to hold it/carry it round a lot (i.e. in your handbag, lying in bed) a mini is prob better (with a good case if your handbag is full of crap anything like mine!)

If not just go to the shop and handle both of them & see which you prefer.

Purely size tbh.
DD has an iPad Mini and it really is fab. Can't compare it to our iPad as that is first generation, but looking online the main difference really is just the size.

I don't understand why anyone who could afford both would consider a mini. It's just too small for me - too small for typing, watching TV or films, reading...it's not that much bigger than an iPhone, or at least feels not much bigger. I wonder how the sales have been since this came on the market last year.

Typing this on my iPad 2 and very happy with it.

My iPad is fine in my handbag. I watch a lot of tv on mine so would want a full sized iPad personally. DM and DSis both have minis and the size is the only difference.

Mini. I have an iPad but I'd trade it for a mini like a shot. It's great, but it's too big to carry round on a regular basis.

I find the iPad keyboard better than the mini, but the mini is great if just clicking around

Posting this from a mini, it's absolutely brilliant! It's much lighter and easier to hold than an iPad. If you can bear to wait though, I'm sure they'll bring out a 3G version next and kinda wish mine was.

Mind you if I want to use mine out and about, I take a portably wifi pebble type thing which is pay as you go.
