MY LAWN IS UP TO MY KNEES - CAN I MOW IT EVEN THOUGH IT'S WET?

THE PATCH OF GRASS THAT I EUPHEMISTICALLY CALL MY LAWN IS WET BUT VERY LONG. CAN I CUT IT WITH AN ELECTRIC MOWER OR WILL I BE TOAST//

i have managed to cut wet grass with also wet mower (no shed) and somehow didnt get electricuted. Dont take this as advice,mind.

Personally I wouldn't. If you absolutely insist, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not attempt to unplug the mower power supply with wet hands or if any of the equipment is wet. DH recently shocked himself with a wet patio cleaner. Very very nasty. (do you want first aid advice just in case?)

And it will leave the grass looking pretty ragged too.

it pulls the grass rather than cuts it.

A strimmer might do a better job, or a scythe would be the best thing (that's what my dad uses but I don't suppose you happen to have one).

Strim first (carefully, if it's an electric one) if you have one, then leave till drier, and mow. The grass will dry out more quickly once shorter.

Leave the mowing and hire a goat/sheep/cow or even a horse.

How about shears to get it down to a reasonable length?
