What can I do in a greenhouse during the winter

hi - finally managed to get a greenhouse for the school gardening club (just a little one but then its a little club). What can we grow so we can use it now? I plan to grow bedding plants later on ready for planting out and then tomatos etc but I want to get them using it now otherwise it will just become a store for the winter. Any suggestions?

my mother used to put chrysanthymums in hers. Cant think of anything else.

Overwinter tender plants and grow lettuce? Don't know how long it would grow for but at least November.

Potatoes do well, can have some ready by Easter Sunday if you want!

Early Spring you can put some Runner beans in.

Sow cabbages now in the green house.
Lettuces in January

Thanks guys. The spuds sound good as my own kids loved harvesting ours at home not long ago. Can I just sow some of my own smaller ones or do I need to locate some in a garden centre? Might also give the cabbages a whirl.

Was wondering about stuff for christmas as well. Last year we grew hyacinths. I expect the greenhouse would be too cold for them, we did them on a windowsill but what about other bulbs?
