Shed painting

I want to paint my shed and I'm after a dark, stormy blue colour. Has anyone done the same and, if so, what paint did you use? I'm not having much luck at the usual DIY stores and I really don't want to spend another winter wishing I had painted it when the weather was good!

I painted my shed a few months ago in cuprinols Seagrass colour (a light blue).

I was worried I was making a mistake and that it would look awful but the paint went on so easily and when I watch the rain (I'm a geek lol) it literally runs off it, a bit like latex. It hasn't peeled, bobbled or anything, looks as fresh as the day I did it!

If they do it in the colour you are I definitely recommend the cuprinol paint,.

this with

a small amount of black from here?

Just add a very small amount at a time. Use a plastic paint bucket, add the blue. Probably about 3/4 of a tin, then add a couple of drops of black and stir. Keep adding the black till you get the right shade. But only add a drop or two at a time till you get the shade you want. You can always add the rest of the blue and a couple more drops of black at the end to ensure you have enough paint to cover.

2 coats of paint should do the trick. Decant any left over paint into a jam jar, screw the lid on safely.

Cuprinol it is then- I'll mix some colours up to get what I have my mind set on but will paint the back of the shed first in case it looks really awful! Many thanks for the quick replies.
