How do you deal with clover in your lawn?

Plus if you leave a patch you get lovely bees coming over.

We have loads of clover this year.

DD got stung by bees 3 times in one weekend despite me telling her to wear something on her feet.

Greenthumb sorted our lawn out. Used to be full of clover.

We use a weed, feed and mosskiller on our lawn every spring and every autumn, in a futile attempt to keep it being actually grass. It does help, though I'm not sure there's anything short of huge amounts of work that will do the trick.

If you get down on hands and knees, you CAN dig it out with an old screwdriver or knife, but you will have to trace where the stems run to, and get them all otherwise it will come back.

But, yes, weed&feed, used according to the instructions, can keep a lawn weed-free. Or Greenthumb, if you have the money spare.

The Wolf Garten wheeled scarifier is also good for getting moss and 'thatch' out of lawns. Wolf tools ARE quite expensive, but they are versatile and will last a lifetime; you only need two or three handles, and all the tool-heads clip on securely.

When I plant the borders there will be lots of bee & butterfly friendly plants going in.

I want a garden that attracts wildlife.

Yeah, weed and feed really attracts the wildlife.

Just leave it be! Does it really matter if the leaves are straight or round? Really?

Greenthumb here too. Although they've been doing our lawn for a couple of years now and I'm going to get them to stop bothering to weedkill as we barely get any weeds now and a couple wouldn't bother me at all. I don't really use any chemicals in the garden so it's a bit at odds to have them do it. When they started though we had loads of weeds (again on a tiny lawn) and they got rid of them immediately.

But it's all perspective; grass is green, clover is green & pretty, what's the difference? It's not destructive or poisonous, so I'd leave it be. It's like some people thinking 'weed' whilst others see wild flowers :)

I love clover too, we have a big patch on our lawn and it looks so much more lush and thick than the grass. I'm hoping it'll take over completely.

I'd love a camomile lawn but my camomile has only grown about 18 inches in two years
