Would you recommend your swing seat?

We were really taken with a swing seat when on holiday - a regency(?), though it was pretty big (too big for our garden I think). They seem to vary a lot in price and budget would be at low-mid range (not £1-2000!). Some look nice (wood) but maybe not so comfortable. Has anyone got one? Would you recommend it? Thanks for any words of wisdom...

I would recommend mine. It came from B and Q sale flat packed at less than £200 and is made of solid hardwood (teak) and radically altered the sitting in the garden experience for the better, and has survived the (mild) winter outside unscathed.
When looking, check the quality of the fixings, goes without saying there is wide variation and more expensive does not always mean better. Cushions and coverings can be bought separately from anywhere, or even made at home: the frame is the important thing.

Thanks funny, I guess that's right, wasn't sure i'd get a decent wood frame in budget. Wood ones certainly look good, and could be good to make our own cushions.. Will keep an eye out in the sales Smile I also wondered about aluminium frames, some of the seats are moulded and look like they may be more comfortable... Or really uncomfortable if bars dig in!
