strawberry plant in pot can I leave it there?

I bought a strawberry plant for my kids and it's given a few fat red strawberries. It's still in the pot. I don't know what to do with it? Once I take the strawberries off do I plant it in the ground or leave it in the pot? Currently the pot is hung off the ground as I don't want it leave it low enough for the slugs to get it. I will attach a photo.

It can live in that pot for a fair while if you feed it and water it regularly, but you can plant it out if you want to as well.

Weell . . . to be honest cheeky, though the fruits look good, the plant itself looks a bit sad. Maybe the hanging pot means it dries out very quickly?

I would probably pot it into something bigger, and give it some feed.

Yes it did need watering. Because it's hung up the water just runs out. Might have to rethink it's hanging. Thank you for the advice.

There are 3 full strawberries now. Very exciting. But we Daren't pick them as there are 5 of us and we all want a taste!
