Anyone bought plants outdoor planting online?

My dad reckons it's an awful lot cheaper than buying them in nurseries - goes without saying - but there are a lot of companies out there doing online sales. Where to start? I have a good list of shrubs he's given me but I'm new to the gardening game. Thanks!
