i was going to start them off indoor,s toms, cucmbers, courgettes some beans and peas but the list is growing so i was wondering if it would still be too cold to start some of the more hardy ones straight off in the unheated plastic greenhouse? they will eventually go on to the allotment but we still have some clearing to do so would like to at least get going at home. we are in east anglia if that helps i think its reasinably mild (though im freezing still)
thanks wise mnetters

I'm in the west mids and my window sills are full of tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers (sown on Sunday) and the greenhouse has broad beans, early peas, and all my greens sown in pots - nothing coming up yet tho....

Don't know if its too early - I just couldn't wait any longer Blush

Someone with some proper knowledge will be along in a minute and tell me off Grin

There is a cold snap forecast for next week so I'd wait until after that, I think. I know it's frustrating!

Heheheeee, I'm so glad someone else is as silly as excited as me about getting going!
All my seed packets are spread out on the kitchen table as we speak, I'm fighting the urge but as you say, Mothersmilk, THE SUN IS OUT!

I took some cuttings of rosemary from the new looking bits and shoved them in a pot of moist compost last week, and they haven't died yet! Grin

Could someone advise to when u should plant my DC's sun flowers? Should I start indoors?

Last year I stuck the seeds in pots outside about April time and they all grew :) If it's in a border I think the only worry is birds eating them before they germinate.
