Hi,

Just had a look at the garden which has grass on it, and something has dug out the soil. The first day there was one big dug out, and a week later there are about six huge soil patches. I'm new to all this and have no idea what it could be. How do I put an end to this??

Btw I've had a look at the adjoining garden and theirs is clear, nothing there at all!

Could be anything, moles, cats, dogs, foxes.

FannyFifer, thanks! Any ideas how I can stop it from coming in the garden?

Also what do I now do with the soil? Sorry I am completely clueless, it is my 1st garden (been in flats before)

I do think you can really.

Find out what is doing it first, if its moles I think there is a thing you stick in the ground that makes a high frequency noise they don't like.

Buy some grass seed, sprinkle on the mounds and then put them back into place with the flat side of a shovel.

That's what I would do admittedly I don't have a clue though.

I'm going to guess at badgers. They nose at the soil to get at certain grubs - next doors lawn may not have them and thus no digging.

Sounds like a mole to me.
