I got it as a gift at Christmas, it is really cute. At the moment I have it in the conservatory still in its hessian root bag but in a big pot so I can water it. My questions are, should I keep it inside til Spring and once I do plant it out can I put it in a big pot and keep clipping it or should I put it in the ground and just let it grow?

i have a bay tree growing in a big pot. i would leave till spring and its a bit warmer before you put it out. i was told that the more leaves i took from it the more it would shoot. i supposse it depends why you want it...no point clipping if you want to eat it?

it is fine where it is till spring - it will be dormant until the weather warms up. You could keep it in a large pot or put it in the ground it doesn't matter. It will need feeding every now and then in a pot, that's the only difference.
