First cake?

Our NHS dietician (CMPA and soy allergy, not quite worked out if wheat/eggs are ok yet but that's a whole other story) has recommended little puggle has eggs in a cake before trying anything more eggy ie quiche/scrambled. He's 7 months old, so I'm looking for something not too sweet, and I'll use Trex/stork marg and gluten free flour. Obviously I'll be eating most of it all but one slice so it better be nice
I'm thinking the banana cake on here. Any other top recipes from you clever MNers?
