I am in a bit of a lunch rut we seem to eat the same (healthyish) things each week and can't think of new things. Dd1 will aske for a ham sandwhich every day (which I mostly ignore) other favourites are mackerel on toast, cheese on toast hummous and breadsticks and jacket potatoes.

We do have soup on ocasions which I should do more often but dd1 always complains over soup but does eat eventually and we get home just before lunch most days so can't find the time.

Dd1 also doesn't eat eggs so rules out qiite a few easy options for us.

Humus and oatcakes

the version I make is just chick peas, natural yoghurt, squirt of lemon and garlic paste.

pizza, tomato pasta, macaroni cheese, quiche, bagels, rolls, bean on toast, cheese toasties, wraps. Oatcakes and cream cheese.

I like to have nice bread and pate.

Fish finger sandwiches. Leftover pasta. Have you had on the bbc food website that's quite good as you can pop in a ingredient and it gives you recipes that include it in.

We are having bean burgers today. The boys (16 months) will smoosh them into their mouths with some veg on the side that they will throw onto the floor. I'll have mine in a bun with salad and lots of chilli sauce. (I used flageolets, white beans, fried onion and garlic, frozen spinach, cumin and coriander, and some leftover mashed potato to bind.)

Or what about fishcakes? You can get some veg into them too - broccoli or spinach work well.

Bacon and cheese pasta ?

Unless she is allergic to eggs something like potato waffles, eggs and beans can be really nice.

Fish cakes -the green packaged Jamie Oliver ones are amazing :)

Tuna mayo jacket potato

Chicken fajitas - much easier and quicker than it seems!

Oh and one of my boys always rejects egg if I give it to him plain (scrambled, fried, as an omelette etc) but he really liked an egg mayo sandwich the other day. Worth a shot?

Thanks some great ideas here will definatley be trying some. Dd is not allergic but just doesn't like boiled, fried, scrambled or ommlete but will eat quiche we have that as leftovers whenever I make on for dinner. I have been meaning to try egg mayo for a while but keep forgetting!

I have tried quesadillas in the past but failed quite miserably at them not sure what I did wrong.

Have added a few different things to this weeks shopping list now. :-)
