Eve’s pudding
Just tried this tonight.. cheap and tasty old fashioned pud.. enjoy!!
Ingredients:
3 large cooking apples
Sugar to sweeten
110g/4oz butter
110g/4oz sugar
1 egg, beaten
110g/4oz flour
Sliced almonds to sprinkle
Method:
- Stew apples very lightly, sweeten to taste.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C.
- Melt the butter and sugar together in a saucepan and allow to cool.
- Add the egg, then add the flour and mix.
- Put the apples into a pyrex dish and pour the cake mixture over the apples.
- Sprinkle with almond slices and bake for 1 hour.
