Right, you have 10 minutes to make lunch, and nothing special in the house - only the usual basics. What do you make??

I seem to find myself in this position quite a lot!

That's a familiar situation-

Beans on toast
Crumpets
Strangled eggs
Bacon sandwich
Cheese & biscuits
Soup
Pasta & pesto

I suppose if it was a real ready steady cook situation there would be some kind of frittata or Spanish omelette type thing, but that doesn't happen in this house.

Oh some good ideas here! Hadn't thought about egg fried rice or, funnily enough, cheese and biscuits!

Always eggs. Favourite is a one egg omelette, slide it onto a tortilla wrap, drizzle with sweet chilli sauce then roll up. That's my super speedy lunch of choice.

Although when I'm organised I make soup on a monday which then lasts all week for lunch - I suspect that's cheating though!

I often start a salad with feta, olives, cucumber and then just add leftovers to it and top up with feta over the course of a few days. So if I have a handful of peas or veg, it just goes into the salad tub...
