Toddlermouse has been stricken with the dread d (but not the v) this weekend and after a day long fast imposed by the gp he can have something bland for dinner. What would you recommend? Would rice pudding be ok? He's gone down from 4 dirty nappies per day at the height of his shittiness to just 1 so far today so maybe he could have something not so bland? Or is that asking for trouble?

Thanks.

Try BRATS - bananas, rice, apple juice, toast and soup.

Meant to be very good in these situations. Hope the worst of it is behind you.

Wouldn't do the rice pudding - I'd stay clear of dairy.

Toast and jam?
plain pasta?

hope he's doing better again tomorrow

Toast and banana I'd say. Dairy not good if their guts have been dodgy, goes right through apparently...

Agree with no dairy until he's fully recovered as his gut may not be able to tolerant it just yet. Plain and bland foods to start him off.

Pasta, rice, potatoes, toast, vegy, rice milk..., no fruts, no dairy as it will go watery again. Been doing it for a four days, but my LO is ok now.

Ok I'll try the non dairy. He's only had 1 dirty nappy so far today and has had plain buttered toast and some digestive biscuits. I'll give try plain rice and veg 2nite and maybe some banana.

Thanks everyone. Glad your lo is better babysophierose
