You posted a little while ago saying how it felt like being a failure to admit to needing help for depression. I had been struggling more and more over this past year but did not feel specifically depressed. However, in your post you listed some symptons and reading through them something struck a chord with me. I took myself off the doctor the following week and now a little while later I really feel that things are improving for me. So thank you DB, people can read and benefit from these messages although they are not part of the discussions at the time. I do hope things are going well for you and others in the thread.

aw mate! that's brilliant.
I'm feeling much better myself now too and I agree that discussing depression can help not just the OP but also others who are reading it.

Thanks for this thread too. smile

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
