i moved here, to ireland (south) about three months ago from england. I have no friends here, my partner is the only soul i know! I bearly know where things are here let alone other mums and places to take littlen- need to get out of this house badly...but where to go????
it is limited what i can do as im short on money and cant drive, dont know about buses which are apparently few and far between.
I would really like to take my bubby somewhere where i could speak to other mummys and my bubby can see other kiddies!! even if its just for a coffe and a walk in the park etc....hummm...where is the park LOL????
please help as i need to chat to others...just about ur normal stuff so i feel a little more normal. I want to feel like me again and not just a cook/clean/mum/girlfriend etc ...the list goes on.

Any ideas are truly welcome.

Some parts of Southern Ireland are so beautiful - there must be some park or river walk nearby. Failing that I would go for a walk and talk to anyone that smiles in your direction. There must be other parents out walking!

Not from Ireland but just done a quick search on Google.ie and come up with a few things

www.khf.ie/Grants/CommunityGrants.php

Maybe type where you actually live into here

Also try asking at local library, GP surgery, local church (even if you are not a church goer), local shop (local shops and post offices are a mind of useful info) or supermarket information boards.

Our local zoo does Mum and toddler group once a week and a music and singing group for toddlers have you anything similar locally? You may find leisure centre does Mum and toddler activities including maybe swimming.

May also be worth looking into Irish Childbirth Trusthey do toddler groups too.
