Hello

I have been on citalopram now for about 8 months. I dont really get any side effects now, apart from a dry mouth and the occasional bit of insomnia. When i started i felt a bit sick and rushy for the first few days and i had a couple of panic attacks.

Side effects are common in the first few weeks and you can feel a bit worse with your anxiety/depression during this time (i didnt though). It is worth sticking with though, it really makes a difference.

Have a look on the citalopram buddies thread, there is a good range of reactions on there. But to be honest, i think if you expect to feel sick and have a bit of anxiety in the next few weeks, it will probably be all you have to deal with.

Good luck
xx

Also insomnia for the first few weeks was quite bad but you can be given sleeping pills..?
