Rhodiola is one type of adaptogen. Ginseng, for example, is another one.

From a web-site:
'It is thought to strengthen the nervous system, fight depression, enhance immunity, elevate the capacity for exercise, enhance memory, aid weight reduction, increase sexual function and improve energy levels.'

I have taken Rhodiola and other adaptogens in times of stress to allow me to get through the day. I find they do work (give me more energy and improve mood) but they can have a stimulating effect (make it harder to get to sleep) and you are not supposed to take them every day, indefinitely, so I reserve them for when I really need a boost. I think you are supposed to e.g. have one week off in four?
Echinacea is another one.

I don't see why you could not take Kalm tablets with them or Rhodiola in the morning, Kalm tablet in the evening? But you don't want to mess around too much with herbs or take too many things together. Perhaps see a naturopath or why not try something else instead - Siberian Ginseng is a good one for women.
