Anti - Depressants ?

I am going to my GP this week as after using St Johns Wort for a few months now realise that my depression needs something more - I am already 3 stone overweight and do not want to be prescribed ADs that add to this - does anyone know which ones to avoid?

I have taken prozac and venlefaxine, neither made me put on weight. hth.

IME prozac has always made me lose weight,but my gp told me that high doses can have the opposite effect.
i think its only the older type of AD's that make u put on alot of weight

not sure which ones to avoid but I have been on sertraline for the past year and have not put on any weight if anything i have lost weight :0
