How long does St Johns Wort take to kick in? plus with other medication

I have only taken 2 tabs so far so I'm not expecting miracles just yet.

I use inhalers for my asthma (when I remember) and wondered if it's ok with the st johns wort.

I also take omega 3 capsule, evening primrose and a multivitamin.

SJW can take a couple of weeks to start to work, maybe more. The tincture (liquid) form is more effective and works more quickly than the tablet form, though.

I've never read anything that implies it might interfere with asthma medication but it would be worth checking with your GP.

SJW should not be taken with the pill, as it can inhibit absorbtion.
It is worth remembering that it is generally only considered effective for mild depression.
Second WWB's advice about the tincture, definitely considered to have a better uptake.
