I can't go to my tutorial, they said I could swap groups but only if I found someone to swap with.

I don't think that's going to be possible

So I am here in the library and my heart is pounding and pounding and my whole stomach feels like a big black pit.

Not having a good day!

What are you studying? Smile

I remember hiding at the library as a student.

Do you have a tutor that you can talk to? Or your GP?

I am studying social work. I have told my tutor that i either swap groups or dont come and they have asked me to find someone to swap with, I dont think that will be possible, everyone is fairly settled in their groups and I dont want to rock the boat.

Plus my group is monumentally dull and I dont feel it would be beneficial to someone else so I would feel pretty bad 'selling' it

I have spoken to my GP but I find it hard to speak to one GP and end up seeing different ones every time i go in. I have made an 'emergency' appointment with the psyche team but its taken them 3 weeks to provide me with one.

My thoughts are that I need to increase my medication but I am loathed to do that without speaking to a psychiatric doctor.

Thanks for talking to me x

why do you need to swap? Is it just a one off? If so, sure someone would agree to

I think you are doing very well. You are taking positive action to try and help yourself.

I agree, speak to the doctor before changing your medication at all.

Also is the college aware that you are actually sick?

It's not really fair for them to put the onus on you to find someone to change groups with when you are sick and obviously not up to doing that.

I told my tutor I was waiting for a mental health assessment and going through some issues.

It doesn't matter now, I am just going to be quiet, get on and squirrel myself away when everyone else is in tutorials.

It's a weekly thing not a one-off thing.

The anxious feelings WILL pass. I am a veteran of anxiety and panic attacks so trust me when I say that no matter how bad you may feel, it is only temporary. The human body is simply not made to feel panic feelings for a long period of time so they will calm down. Concentrate on your breathing, breathing long slow breaths in and slowly out. You are strong, you can do this.

I'm just keeping quiet and going to chat about stuff to DH tonight.
