Confidential work counselling

I think I need to chat to someone, my head is spinning and there are things that I need to just get out though they seem small things compared to many. Feel a bit of a fraud.

My work, (council) have a confidential counselling service but I worry work would find out somehow, would it go on my record?
Argh! Help please :-)

my job had a similar service I rang and used it and the people who run the service do not ever let the employer know who has access the service

I would assume yours is the same

Our employers buy in to one of these. You have to say which company you work for, so stats get back in terms of how many staff have accessed the service, but no other details are passed on to your employer.
