Please can someone snap me out of it?

I am freaking out. I stupidly had a mix up with my prescription and have not taken my ADs for about two weeks. Which would probably be fine but work is just Shite squared at the moment. I'm not even in tomorrow but I am already near to a panic attack about the fact I have to go in Thursday.

Can somebody slap me with a wet fish please? Sad

No fish, but I can certainly sympathise! Have you got crappy physical symptoms too? Can you get your GP to sign you off for a few days until the prescription kicks in and you feel more able to cope?

Is there anyone at work who knows what you're coping with who could share your workload?

In Shite Squaredvsituations, I've often found it useful to ask 'in five years, will it even matter?'

If all else fails, can you plan a nice treat (walk, free concert, shopping, swim, nails done, meet a mate?) for lunchtime or after work on Thursday so you're not dreading it too much?

Which ADs are you on? You are allowed to vent you know. There will be someone around to offer better help than I.

Thanks both. I am on 40mg Fluoxetine (sp?)

Physical symptoms are (thankfully) limited to jaw clenching/teeth grinding/stress headaches.

No chance of time off as I won't get paid and that would just add to my problems.

Retail in December + Short Staff + All overtime cancelled means that there is no way I can lessen my workload, or confide. We are all in the same boat.

Would love to plan a treat but don't know how I will afford Christmas atm, no cash for extras.

Sorry if that seems negative, I really do appreciate your replies.

That's awful. Christmas is lovely but it brings such pressures. Long soaks in the bath with radio and library book are free, is that an option?

Do you have family around? Or are they part of the pressure?!

I hope that the ADs get everything sored fast and you gat back on track soon.

I don't think you're negative; depression is horrible and suddenly having no medication for two weeks can cause you to feel absolutely bleak.
